What Actually Sets the Price
Shredding is priced on volume and logistics, not mystery. The biggest factor is how much material there is — a few banker's boxes is a different job than a hundred. After that it's the format: loose paper in boxes shreds fast, while material that needs to come out of binders or hanging folders takes handling time. Location matters a little (a truck-adjacent garage beats a fourth-floor walk-up), and recurring service is priced per stop, so a scheduled console pickup costs less than the equivalent one-time purge.
What doesn't change the price: staples, paper clips, and rubber bands (leave them in), watching the destruction (always included), and the Certificate of Destruction (automatic, every job). And because the quote is firm, the number we give you is the number on the invoice — it doesn't grow when the truck arrives and "discovers" your boxes are full.
